I can change text in PDF but unable to change font

I am stuck.
I am trying to search for certain words in my PDF. I see the word but CTRL+F indicates nothing is found. I am able to select the word but cannot change the font EVEN THOUGH the font is on my computer. However, if I change the text or re-type the word, I can then change the font and am able to CTRL+F and find it.
If I select the text and do CTRL+C and try pasting it in "find" it displays only boxes. If I manually type the word/letters in in the "find" box, it doesn't locate anything.

I've attached several images of the various messages I've recieved. At one point, the selected text said it was Times but it was clearly a sans serif font. There were are some yellow ! on some of the images and another that has a red X.

I do see that some of the fonts are embedded subset but when I follow the steps on how to embed fonts in PDF's all it wants me to do is save as a PDF Setting File but then I don't know what to do with the file.

One last note - I did try OCR and that didn't help.

@jenna_6182 please refer to this post: from both @S. S and I

Sometimes if a PDF was created on a different system with fonts that aren't embedded with editing permissions or are not available on your system, you may encounter difficulties editing the text with those specific fonts. Not all fonts allow embedding due to licensing restrictions. Some fonts may only permit embedding for viewing and printing, but not editing.
