I cannot edit text in PDF using a paid monthly subscription! How can this be fixed??? Urgent!

Further:
I have rebooted my laptop several times now.
I am logging in to Adobe.
I have checked that I am logged in using the correct username/profie.
There is no option to "restore purchases" and all menu options for the paid version are showing.
When I select EDIT - the text blocks do not show and no editing is allowed.
If I try ADD TEXT - the boundary block shows but no typing shows - I have checked the text colour, size etc

I tried a different document and I can edit that one 100%.
I have checked the security settings on the previous document (document in question) and it shows that there are no security restrictions.

FYI - I just tried on a 3rd document and that one also works 100%

If you mark your replies as Correct people will assume the issue is solved and will not bother trying to help you... I will unmark them for you.

Thank you very much for pointing that out and sorting out my mess. Still desperately trying to figure out what is wrong with this file.

So the issue is with that specific file? Can you share it with us?

Hi,
It is 12 files, identical in nature but content is different on each one.
I unfortunately cannot share the files publicly.
p.s. I even tried editing one of my own bank statements just to see if that worked, and it did too.
I am completely stumped!

If these are bank statements it's possible they are digitally signed, which would prevent you from editing them.

Hi,
Thank you.
They are not bank statements.
I actually even tried to edit a bank statement because I thought the same encryption might apply.
I could edit the bank statement but not my other document.

I guess that these PDFs are actually image files, so they don't contain any text.
First, you should try OCRising them.

Hi,
Thank you.
They are definitely PDF's and not images.

That's not contradictory. PDFs can contain images, which you won't be able to edit directly, since the text in them is not real text, but a part of the image. Running Text Recognition could allow you to edit that text, if the process is successful.

Thank you!
I don't think that the text would be an image but at this stage I am willing to try anything!
Is Text Recognition in the general menu section or somewhere else?

I found the Text Recognition function.
It doesn't work! I get an error message.

The exact message is:
Acrobat could not perform recognition because:
This page contains renderable text.

I just tried SAVING AS a tif file with the aim of converting back to PDF.
Received an error message that it couldn't be saved as a tif because it was "expected a numbered object (Page 1)"
