ARGH how do you turn off all the pop-up messages, since the last update I get all these pops ups I have removed the program reinstalled it, and searched for answers to no avail. If I turn off the settings/preferences messages and apply I come back and it is reset again allowing them. I think it's time to switch to Bluebeam!

Hi @sharonm13511131

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Would you mind sharing more details about the pop up message you are getting? What is the workflow/steps you are doing when these pop messages appear, A small video recording or screenshot of the same would be very helpful.

Also, go to preferences (Ctrl,Cmd+K) > General >  Under, messages from Adobe, Uncheck  'Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat' > Click OK and reboot the application.

Make sure you have the application updated to the recent version 23.08.20470 > Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the application.

Hi Amal,

It's about 5-10 secs after I open any pdf I get the pop-up below.

I have the latest update

I have tried to uncheck the 'Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat'  but when I relaunch it's checked again

Hi there ,

PLease go through the lockable setting here https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/PrefRef/Macintosh/FeatureLockDown.html and see if that works.

Hi there

By default, the app provides information in various locations about other tools, subscriptions, mobile apps, and Acrobat (for Reader users). These messages educuate users about additional features and products.

Admins can disable most of these messages via the preferences below.

Note : See also /Workflows/cServices/ : bAcrobatAppInstalled and bScanAppInstalled .

Hope this information will help.

Seriously, this is ridiculous! First, you must assume that the average user is unable to stop this issue with the instructions provided. We are not IT people. How can this be resolved? It is beyond frustrating and annoying to be interrupted by the same messages multiple times a day when the program is opened. And don't tell me to disable "Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat," because that resets every time I close the program. NO BODY LIKES THESE POP UPS, ADOBE. DO BETTER.

I just found this thread because I'm SO SICK of having tips that I've ALREADY DISABLED popping up when I open the app. It's absolutely f*cking ridiculous that the solution is to become an amateur programmer to disable this. When will this be fixed?? Look at all of these answers, and this is absolutely not the only thread about this. Nobody wants this! FIX IT.

We must hack the registry and a plist just to avoid those annoying pop-ups?

Are you serious?

Well it's kind of nice to know it's not me. I see the last post was in May and it's now mid Jun. Same problem going on.

So, my question now is since I'm not IT nor a genius hacker, how do  I go back to the previous version were this problem didn't occur. Thanks Adobe, I guess????

I thought I was the only one annoyed at these messages that pop-up. As the earlier poster said, no one wants these messages. It is quite a hassle to click through multiple times a day.
