I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on CD and want to install on new computer...but getting error message

Community Beginner ,

I have used this CD on previous computers but now I am having a problem installing.

When trying to install from the CD itself, I get an error message: Wizard was interrupted before Adobe could be completely installed....

Then I copied the files to the desktop and tried installing it that way, but got the same message.

Then I downloaded from the website and got the same message.

I was going to try to install it from Safe Mode but the directions were not very clear (didn't seem to match my computer), so I am hesitant.

Thank you for your help!

Hi janevir,

Thanks for the info. I would like to mention that Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 10, so problems with it are to be expected. More info here: Older versions of Acrobat (XI, X, 9) system requirements

You may try running Acrobat's installer in compatibility mode by right clicking the installer > properties > compatibility tab > check the box run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows vista from the drop-down options. click Apply OK.
