Based on your recent posts (post1, post2), it looks like you're interested in using the AI Assistant without an Acrobat Pro subscription. If that's the case, you'll be glad to know that the AI Assistant is available in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. However, a separate subscription is required to continue using the AI Assistant beyond the initial trial.
You’ll receive 5 free uses of the AI Assistant, after which a subscription is needed to continue.

@Sammy Red the Betta Fish I feel like that's an advertisement of what AI can do...what is the question you need? Sometimes, just using the Free version of Acrobat is the only thing you need if you just need to view a PDF.

@Sammy Red the Betta Fish Double-check to make sure your Adobe Acrobat Pro is fully updated to the latest version. Adobe frequently rolls out updates that include new features like the AI Assistant and address compatibility issues. You can check for updates by going to Help > Check for Updates within Acrobat. It's also crucial that you're running the "New Acrobat Experience" interface, as the AI Assistant is specifically designed for this. You can enable it via View > Enable new Acrobat. If it's already enabled, sometimes simply toggling it off and on, then restarting Acrobat, can resolve the issue.
Secondly, the AI Assistant is a cloud-based feature, meaning it relies on proper account authentication and sometimes specific licensing. Even with a Creative Cloud Pro subscription, you might need to ensure your Adobe ID is correctly signed in within Acrobat and that the AI Assistant license is properly provisioned to your account. This can sometimes be a point of confusion, especially for enterprise or educational accounts where licenses are managed by an administrator. It's also worth noting that the AI Assistant might not be available in all geographic locations or with certain legacy or specialized Adobe Acrobat SKUs (Stock Keeping Units).
Finally, if the above steps don't resolve the problem, there might be deeper software conflicts or corrupted installation files. A more comprehensive troubleshooting approach would involve signing out of your Adobe ID in Acrobat and the Creative Cloud desktop app, then signing back in. If that fails, consider using the Adobe Cleaner Tool to completely uninstall Acrobat, rebooting your system, and then reinstalling it from your Creative Cloud desktop app. This ensures a fresh installation and often resolves stubborn issues
