I want to edit a PDF without having reviewing (e.g., red strike throughs on text, etc).

Hello,

I cannot find the option to just have straight editing of a PDF in Acrobat.

When I hit delete on text, I want it deleted from the document without the strike through, etc. I'm not sharing this at all.

Shouldn't that be the default setting?

  This is absurd.

I think you have to select to be able to edit the text in a PDF. If you are working in Adobe Acrobat Pro, you should be able to click Edit in the upper left and then select Text. See attached screenshot. I hope this helps!

Hey Dinah248014004akx, this is worked.  Thank you!
Do you know if there is there a way to make it such that when I edit, the default is NEVER to use sharing review/commenting? I'd like to never have that option on. Even having to click on Text, then selecting, deleting etc.  Similar to how Microsoft Word handles it. You need to enable it first.

Thank you!
