Version 2023.003.20201 is absolutely terrible!! Who decided to change the UX and UI of this app? It was perfectly fine. Now it's unusable. How does one go back a version? I should have turned off my auto-updates. This is a very dissapointing update in every possible way. Would love some info on my request. Thank you.

I want to thank Kodak for helping me, they gave me instructions how to remove the current version and links to last years version. This version broke multiple plug-ins and so many other issues with how it ran. I cant even use any Plug ins with a 4k monitor since over a year ago. At least last year the Plug ins would run on Non 4 K monitors. Adobe needs to be more aware of what the users needs are and work with companies like Kodak that have Prepress plug ins that are for printing. Adobe, let us know when this is fixed.

Totally agree. The new version of Acrobat is terrible -- the design is so different that I got lost in the interface. What is the reason for such a radical change in the interface? To inconvenience users but give some developers a medal? Here, Adobe marketers made a mistake. I am also going to revert to the previous version.

AGREED!!!! Reminds me of some old editing programs for the 80s. How do I revert back to the old version. I don't want this new nonsense. Whomever developed this upgrade has no clue what they are doing. It is not practical.

Agreed. You'd think for a company that supports mostly visual-thinking people, they'd realize that a complete visual layout change will stop our brains dead in their tracks.
I literally got a migraine yesterday from trying to figure out just where the page numbers and pan were.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!
I need to save the open PDF to a new location...but I can't because I didn't make any changes. WTF? Everything is flipped so I go to the right side of the screen (as I have for over 5 years!) and nothing I need is there because you put in on the left side of the screen. WHY??? Are your designers people who have never used your product? I use Adobe 10-30 times A DAY and these changes are awful. Can I bill Adobe for having to waste me time relearning a program that I have EXPERT LEVEL skills using already? Seriously--I want this month's payment back for this inferior and infuriating software change!

I agree 100%, I work with Adobe Pro every day, this has caused me delays, productivity issues, I am trying to get our IT department to uninstall and reinstall the previos version. Crossing my fingers.

Gotta vote at UserVoice (not in this forum) to get Adobe's attention — and tell them what you don't like, too.

After I upgraded to new experience it was imposible to work on documents. I am filling out a lot of applications and use add text tool, new update made this tool terrible. Also had other issues. Reverting back helpt.
HERE IS HOW TO DISABLE:
1) Go to hamburger icon (three lines) in upper left corner.
2) Scroll down to View.
3) Choose Disable Current Version

I cannot agree enough! It is aboslutely horrific! Non of the previous functionality that I used works any more and its delaying my work! I wish they would just leave it ALONE!

Thanks everyone for the tips & tricks on this situation. Acrobat somehow updated itself without any prompt or action from the user, despite updates supposedly being routed through the Creative Cloud interface. Then it proceeded to white box over my work for 10 minutes+ with an irrational spinning update icon straight out of Windows 98.

I agree, the new version is terrible, and super buggy. It no longer even realizes that I have already purchased the Pro version. =(

I completely agree! The new Adobe is AWEFUL!!!! I reverted back to the previous version as well. Not sure why the changed it to begin with, was great as it was. Tried using the new version all week and ran into issue after issue, stahling out, spinning wheel of death, all the tools and buttons are so much harder to find. Trying to save is a nightmare. WHY do they do this????

THANK YOU FOR THIS POST! Did NOT like the new interface that just appeared out of nowhere! Need to work quickly and BAM! - where is everything?! and why isn't edit disabled when I need to add text so my document formatting is getting messed up?! Sigh - now I can work in peace - thanks again!

I completely agree with everybody. This new interface is awful, unwanted, useless. Adobe should instead respond to a request I made many times: it has to do with saving a session. I often have about 20 files open at the same time. The automatic or manual "reopen PDFs from last session" doesn't work all the time after a restart, a glitch or whatever. There should be a way to save a session and be sure to be able to retrieve it. That's serious work, and something more important than cosmetics or changing the interface for the sake of changing!

SUPER EASY TO REVERT BACK.
OPEN ADOBE ACROBAT, UNDER MENU SELECT DISABLE NEW VERSION (or something like that - can't quite remember) AND A PROMPT COMES UP ASKING TO RESTART, SELECT RESTART AND YOU ARE NOW BACK TO THE OLD VERSION WHICH IS SO MUCH BETTER. I HATED THE NEW VERSION! HOPE THIS HELPS! 🙂

Hi All!
Hope you are doing well.
We acknowledge that the new Acrobat represents a notable change; however, we hope that as you get familiar with the new interface, you can be more productive and get more out of Acrobat.
We are actively working on any unavailable features, such as customizing the All Tools positioning or user interface. And we will address them with the highest priority.
As you get more comfortable with the new interface, please contact us with specific questions on tools, features, or functionalities. We’re happy to provide helpful resources and answers to your questions.
If your critical workflows are impacted, you can switch to the old UI from the “Menu” on the top left corner of Windows OS and View Menu on MacOS. We will follow up with a detailed community-featured post, guiding you to familiarise yourself with the new interface and regular updates on upcoming changes.
