Hi there
When saving an illustrator (version 26.5) file as a pdf, the resolution of all my images becomes low res.
I am unable to preview the pdf in acrobat as high res to share with my client for review. No matter the option selected the images always displays as pixellated.
ON save program keeps telling me document will be displayed at a smaller size because the canvas is too large??
I've never had this problem before.
Please help.

Is it possible that icon is just a bitmap?

All images were rasterized before saving as a pdf to reduce the file size

This is the first time this is happening since the upgrade. Having problems with my photoshop too... had to revert to 2019 version to use properly. This is very frustrating

So you rasterized your vector images in order to save file size? That would have the opposite effect...
And just to clarify, you designed a 39 page document in Illustrator?

Tried to open the illustrator file in Indesign to try and export it there but it's telling me there's a plugin missing...
what do I do?

Why are you trying to open the Illustrator file in InDesign? InDesign cannot open Illustrator files.
Document Raster Effects setting is in Illustrator.
Did you involve InDesign in the production of this document in some way?

It was suggested to me to try and open ai file in indesign to then save as a pdf from there. Not familiar with Indesign so no... worked done in illustrator.

You can PLACE an Illustrator file into InDesign, but you cannot OPEN an Illustrator file with InDesign.
What are the Save as PDF settings you used in Illustrator?

Trying to redo the artwork in indesign to see if I have the same problem... if so, it's definitely an adobe glitch

Do you still have a version of the document without the images rasterized? Why not use that?

I've tried exporting both, rasterised version and images as separate elements, as pdfs but with no success.
All pdf images come out blurry
