iMac Running Mac OS 15.3.1 - I cannot double click icon to open Adobe Acrobat Build: 25.1.20432.0
I have installed Adobe Acrobat Build: 25.1.20432.0 on my iMac running Mac OS Sequoia 15.3.1. I just need an Acrobat product that I can open PDF files, annotate with comments, use basic highlighting functions in Acrobat and hopefully is still a free product. The first question is am I using the proper 64-bit Adobe product for Mac OS 15.3.1? I can go to Finder, display Applications, left click on the Adobe Acrobat icon and click on Open to open this application. This is the only application on this computer I have to do this process to open it. Then once it is open, I cannot double click on a PDF file to open it in Acrobat--I have to display the folder in Finder, right click on the PDF document and finally click Open to opne it. And it often occurs that when I click on the Acrobat icon in my System Tray, Acrobat will just quit without any messages. Please help because these long procuedures for opening Acrobat and PDF files are just plain tedious!! Thanks for anyone's help with these problems.
