Image Quality in Acrobat: Replacing PNGs with PDF or SVG(?)

New Here ,
Sep 09, 2025 Sep 09, 2025

When I added two PNG images to my document, I noticed that they appear blurry after exporting and compressing the file. Is there a way to replace these PNGs with PDF or SVG versions? I assume using vector-based formats like PDF or SVG could resolve the blurriness issue.

Thanks

Hi wardben,

Thank you for reaching out.

If you are adding an image as the sink page to the PDF, you may convert the image file to PDF. Then combine the PDFs. Check if that helps.

If you are referring to something else, please share more information on how you are adding images to the document. Also, let us know the format of the document and the format you are exporting it in.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

What do you mean by "exporting and compressing"? In particular compressing bitmap images (stand-alone or in PDFs) may reduce resolution or introduce artifacts which may cause a blurry appearance.
