Images and colors missing from PDF when viewed on screen using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Some images and/or colors are often not showing up when a PDF is viewed on the computer screen using Adobe Acrobat Pro. When the PDFs are printed, the colors and images show up properly. Occationally, the images and colors will show up properly even when viewed on the screen, but often something is missing. (Since the user who is having this problem is approving comps using PDFs, this is a huge problem since it's often not known if something is missing or just not there.) It's impractical to print every single PDF. How can this be fixed? All colors and images should show up when the PDF is viewed on the screen. The computer is running Windows 10 and it's running Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2022.001.20085. Thank you.

As it turns out, we now have a new computer for that user — literally today. The PDFs show up properly on the new computer, so definitely something about the old computer (OS or video driver or ?). I'll keep these suggestions in mind if anybody else starts having these issues. The issue was not always there on the old computer — it started after one of the Windows updates.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

 

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with different PDF files and other format files like Word, Powerpoint and check for the issue.

 

As described when printed the colors are displayed fine. Please check for any missing/pending update for Win 10 OS  and try updating it. Also, try updating the video driver and rebooting the computer once.

 

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win and try using the application there nd check.

We'll check for missing/pending updates for OS 10 and also try updating the video driver and rebooting.
