Insert and extract pages into pdf in acrobat on ios

Community Beginner ,
Apr 09, 2018 Apr 09, 2018

This is a feature request to be able to insert and extract pages in and out of the PDF on Acrobat for iOS. The “organize pages” tab is missing functions from the macOS version, and they are sorely missed.  I would also like to be able to pinch and zoom on this screen. And also, drag and drop would be amazing!!  Especially dropping pdf files to insert!

Am I missing the options to do these things?  am I asking too much?  What do you people think?

I think we are pretty well aware of the requests for this type of product, not only for iOS but also Android.

Although primarily for feedback for the Windows and MacOS versions of Acrobat, it wouldn't hurt to go to Acrobat for Windows and Mac: Top (1308 ideas) – Share your feedback on Acrobat DC and indicate that you'd like Adobe to provide Acrobat Pro for iOS and Android as well to reinforce the message!

This is available in Adobe Acrobat Pro for macOS.

Jeff, please clarify:

I interpreted what you wrote as saying that the iOS version is missing functions from the OS version (such as Organize Pages which you love in the OS version), but Bernd seems to have read it a different way. Please clarify?

Hi Jane,

Thanks to Bernd and to you for responding so quickly!

I pay monthly to use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on my Mac, and I use it to create PDFs as I transition from paper work orders to electronic. My company prints work orders for field techs to fill out, then there are scanned to the office where they print them out and enter the info into the database - the same database that generates the work orders.

I am trying to eleinate the paper, so I am trying to create the work order route as a pdf, use my iPad in the field to fill it out, and then send them when done.

I only do a portion of a route per day, so I need To extract the pass I did and send only those by email to the office.  Currently I open the pdf in PDFPen which is the “extract and create new document“ function. I would have though Adobe could also do this on the ipad since it exists on the mac and other iPad apps can do it.

And then, if the office emails a pdf of a work Order and I want to stick it in my route, I must wait until I’m in the office and use the computer. I would love to just do it right then on my ipad when it is still fresh on my mind. Sometimes I don’t go back to the office for many days!

I am just beginning to figure out this workflow, so I might find other solutions or apps, but I really like acrobat on my Mac as well as my iPad and I like to stay in it for as many operations as I can.

Adobe Acrobat Pro on macOS and Acrobat Reader on iOS are not the same.

You are correct. That is why I asked the question in the feature request section. I paid the money for the pro, I would like procedures for myself. I would pay a little extra for pro features on my iPad. I feel like what I am asking for is a logical progression of working with PDFs.

You aren't asking for “too much” in general, but in fact you are really requesting a new product.

In fact, Adobe Acrobat Reader for iOS is analogous to Adobe Acrobat Reader for MacOS and Windows, but with a few additional features.

What you are effectively requesting is something more akin to Adobe Acrobat Pro for iOS with a full complement of PDF manipulation and editing tools comparable to the Acrobat Pro versions for MacOS and Windows. It is a reasonable request and you are not the first to make that request which Adobe is well aware of.

Now I'm asking for Adobe Acrobat Pro for iOS, too, Dov Isaacs! Is there a User Voice forum for that or is knowing that you are aware all we need to do for right now?
