@axcess_4251 are you using anti-virus software on your computer? Antivirus software or firewalls can sometimes flag and block legitimate installation files as a security threat. Also, did you download the software straight from Adobe's website and not a third party website? https://get.adobe.com/ca/reader

or maybe the Adobe Reader install is corrupted?! Download the Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool (often called "Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool") from the official Adobe website. https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-creative-cloud-cleaner-tool.html. Run the tool to completely remove any remnants of previous Adobe Reader installations. Restart the computer after the tool finishes. And most importantly, download a fresh installer (don't use the old installer (delete that one)-again, that may be corrupted!). Temporarily disable your antivirus program and Windows Firewall (if you are comfortable doing so) and then attempt the installation again. Just remember to re-enable their security software immediately after the installation is complete.
