Installing Acrobat Pro DC over stand alone version

Question

I currently have licensed classic version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.  If I upgrade to the comparable DC subscription program, should I unstall the class version first or will it simply update my current version and retain custom settings for things like stamps, customized Quick Tools on the tools bar, etc.?  What about pinned documents?
