Installing Acrobat X on Windows 11

Hi,

I purchased CS6 Web Design Premium a few years ago. Today, I'm attempting to install Acrobat Pro 10 on my new desktop running Windows 11, but it's not working; the application launches and then closes automatically. Do you have any tips for installing it on Windows 11? If not, is it possible to obtain a compatible version without having to make another payment?

I couldn't find a contact address to ask the question.

Thanks.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Adobe Acrobat X is an old and end-of-life application https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/end-of-support-acrobat-x-reader-x.html also, it is not compatible with the new Mac and Windows OS. For information about the system requirements please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/system-requirements-old-versions.html

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I understand that the software is at the end of its support, but I have paid for it, and it has become unusable (other software in the suite, like Illustrator, continues to work without difficulty). I used it occasionally, which doesn't justify paying a monthly subscription. Furthermore, I have already subscribed to Photoshop and LR, which I had also purchased previously. I would appreciate a gesture from Adobe to allow me to use what I have paid for.

quoteI understand that there won't be an update for Acrobat X, but since I've paid for the complete CS6 suite and also have a monthly PS/LR subscription, I was hoping that a more recent version of the application compatible with my operating system could be provided.

Why should there? You will need a full Creative Cloud subscription or you will need a subscription for Acrobat DC (Pro) to get that. The time for special offers for your upgrade of Acrobat X are long past.

You may be able to buy a perpetual licence of Acrobat 2020. See here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/final-adobe-acrobat-pro-version-with-a-perpetual-license/td-p/13209802

I have a similar problem, i.e. I have a CS6 license key purchased for a large amount of money for an indefinite period and it works without any problems on Windows 10. When I try to install it on Windows 11, the same key is recognized as "invalidated" and I should contact the Adobe helpdesk
