Invalid tree node and problem reading document (14) on unchanged PFD

When trying to open PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro I get a notification that "The document's page tree contains an invalid node" and then "There was a problem reading this document (14)." This PDF used to open fine and has not changed. It also opens fine in Preview.

If you are able to share the PDF publicly, someone might be able to analyse it and see what is wrong. Otherwise, probably not - it isn't a well known issue.

I've attached the PDF here. Thanks!

What's really strage is that this PDF has not changed in the past four years. It is stored on a site and lately when I download a copy it does this. Do you know if there is a way to edit the "tree"? I could't find anything about that online. I also wonder if it is an issue with an Acrobat update somewhere along the line.

The file is bad for sure. It's possible that Acrobat only just noticed.

To clarify, I am asking if anyone has a solution.
