Is there a way to have a file open in Output Preview by default?

The output colors appear different in the standard view vs. the Output Preview, due to the .kfp profile that is run. Is there away to have the document open in the Output Preview so the colors appear correctly without having to switch to Print Production?

In some cases, after the .kfp is run, some of the content doesn't show up unless it is in the Print Production view which creates confusion, especially if the end user doesn't have Adobe Pro and they open the .pdf document.

Most users don’t change their preferences.

So by default, only PDF-X files show overprint preview by default in Reader:

I forgot to mention the other half of my post that answers your question… PDF-X files are visualised through the output intent profile in the PDF-X file, which enforces a simulation preview.

Therefore, using a PDF-X preset to export your PDF files, overprinting elements and simulation previews should be honoured.

Just to add: if you want consistent display, don’t use over print and don’t flatten transparency (which often relies on overprint for its effects).
