Question

Is This Supposed to be the Support?

I purchased Acrobat Pro DC subscription and had an unexpected failure when it would not save the file

I had been working on for an hour; 93 pages of dense text and all my highlights and comments were lost.  Then I try to find support and ther is no phone support and even chat is a wait. I tried to open a case and you closed it when I did not wait for the chat. Chat support sucks anyway.

So absent support from a human, I am cancelling my subscription.

Thanks to all for the replies.  It was out of frustration for not being able to find a contact number. And the chat was along wait and chat support sucks anyway. I'm not the only one. But once I got the number there were minimal obstacles and they answered  promptly and were helpful.
Customer support is important to me.

Not sure what you want tech support to do. They can't recover lost work.

I've read that if you type "Agent" in the chat, you will be connected to a person, but I have not tried this. There will always be a wait.

Are you saying your worked for an hour without saving (before the crash)?

Did your entire computer freeze up or just Acrobat?

What exact version of DC?

What platform are you using?

If Mac, what chip is in your computer?

What exact version of the OS are you using?

This is NOT Adobe support. It's a community-based forum, although there are some Adobe employees posting, too (those with an Adobe Employee tag under the user-name, like @Amal. , who posted below).

If you want to contact Adobe Support directly you can do so via phone. See: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

What are the steps you were doing to save the PDF file?  If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer first and then try again and check.

Also please share the screenshot of the error message for a better understanding?

We are here for help, just need more info.

Regards

Amal

No, this is not Adobe support. For Adobe support use phone or chat. We may be able to help if you explain "unable to save" in more detail.

A simple google brought this up:

If you just want to cancel your subscription, just sign into your account and cancel it online.

BTW, I rule of saving for any program is to save whenever I don't want to do something again--it could be 2 minutes or 20 minutes--but I would never work an hour without saving.

I agree. It takes half a second to press Ctrl+S and can save you a lot of headache later on. I do it regularly when working on a document.

Good morning, So sorry to hear about your lost work. That is very frustrating to go through. This won't help you now, but it may help someone in the future suffering the same predicament.

CTRL + A , selects all text.

CTRL + C, copies all selected text

CTRL + V, will paste it into Notepad                                                                                                                                              You can save it in Notepad temporarily, without fear or losing it during a system reboot.
