Issue with PNG Signature Images in Adobe Acrobat on macOS

I’ve been experiencing with Adobe Acrobat for several months. I can no longer use PNG files when signing PDF documents with an image.

Whenever I try to select any PNG file as my signature image, the system shows the following error message: “This image file is corrupt. Select a different file or try again.”

However, the file itself is not corrupt — when I use the exact same PNG file on another computer, it works perfectly. This suggests that the issue is not related to the file, but possibly to my computer settings or Adobe Acrobat configuration.

For your reference, I’m using a MacBook Pro (macOS Sequoia 15.0).

Could you please advise how I can resolve this issue?

Hi karina_2255,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

As mentioned above, the file works fine on another machine. Do you mean you can use the PNG file in Acrobat on another machine? If yes, could you please share the OS version on that machine?

Please let us know if you can add other image format files as a signature without any issues. Also, share the current Acrobat version on the machine. We will try to replicate the behaviour and share the correct information.

Thanks.
