Issue with Text Correction Markup Tool in Adobe Pro XI on a Mac automatically deleting first character

Hi,

this is a citation from a question that was stated in 2014.Issue with Text Correction Markup Tool in Adobe Pro XI on a Mac automatically deleting first character

I am publishing this again, slightly updated, because the bug is not fixed for me.

Whenever I use the Text Correction Markup Tool, I highlight a word/phrase/sentence and then begin to type in the replacement, the first letter is automatically highlighted and then deleted when the second letter is typed. So, every word/phrase/sentence I type is missing its first letter.

It is very annoying.

Several people have encountered the issue.

A fix was promised already in 2014.

Was the promised fix done and just needs some setting in the preferences? For me, the problem has not been resolved so far.

I use a Mac, Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.20.17 on Sierra

It was fixed in Acrobat DC. I would recommend just typing a space or a tab for the first character and then beginning your text correction markup.

Hi,

thanks for the answer!

But shouldn't they fix it in the Adobe Pro? Just wondering...
