LiveCycle PDF Comparisons

I had previously been able to compare LiveCycle PDFs in Acrobat Pro XI, choosing the scanned document option and text-only. Now in Acrobat Pro DC, it throws an error that the forms have security settings preventing the comparison. Is it no longer possible to compare them in DC?

Are these forms reader enabled?  Look on the Security tab in the Document Properties dialog. If there are any restrictions listed, then there's either security, a signature/certification, or reader extension.  Any of which could be an issue.

Hi Thom,

They were indeed reader extended. However, I removed that by saving a copy as I had always done in the past, and Acrobat DC is still giving me the error when I try to compare. The Security tab shows a few restrictions that are, I assume, normal for PDFs created in LiveCycle, as they have always been there (including on PDFs I compared successfully in Acrobat XI). Basically, Changing the Document, Document Assembly, and Creation of Template Pages are not allowed. But as mentioned, this has always been the case on PDFs saved from LiveCycle, and Acrobat XI still compared them.

Thanks,

Keith

Next, are these dynamic LiveCycle Forms?  I believe that Acrobat can only do comparisons on static forms.
