Question

Locating transferred assets from deleted user

A previous adminstrator (Admin 1) on our account removed an Adobe user (User A) from our portal. According to their notes, Admin 1 transferred User A's assets to another user before they closed it, but they did not note which user they transferred them to and now Admin 1 has left our organisations

User A's account is not showing in either active users or inactives users - their account has been completely deleted.

Is there any way for me to check how the assets were transferred, and who now has access to that data so I can track down their files?

Have User A verify Adobe Acrobat Documents to see if the documents were actually transferred.

In the admin console, go to the insghts tab and check the audit logs to see who did what.

Thanks so much - I hadn't been aware of the audit trail function. Very helpful.

It looks like one of the admisntrators has deleted the user. It doesn't say anything about whether their assets were transferred.

Does this mean we have lost their files? Or is there any way for me to retrieve them?

User A no longer works for our organisation so can't verify anyting for us.

Admin 1 selected 'Remove user from account' before User A's assets were transferred, and those assets are no longer showing in the document feeds of other users who were cc:ed on the contracts or signed them.

So I think we've lost the assets.

But as IT, do you have access to the user's email?  You could go into his adobe account and verify the documents.
