Mac - DC Pro - PDF skipping elements on my computer but are visible on others'

So as the title says, when I open some PDFs some of the elements are missing despite having output preview ON with simulate overprint. Any idea how I can fix this?  Restart didnt work, and the software is up to date. I checked all layers and they are ON as well.. even when I exported from AI. screenshots attached to show the difference (I see the intended image in my 'preview' but not when I open the pdf to inspect)

Thanks, the solution was in that thread. Re-installing Acrobat worked.

    Thanks, the solution was in that thread. Re-installing Acrobat worked.
