MAC How to change the Logo/Watermark within a digital signature

Hi,

I try to change the watermark in the digital signature. The standard one is the Adobe-logo but I want to change that. All the links I find in the Forum just give me an error, probably becuase they are too old.

It seems that I have to save a pdf file with my desired logo with a certain name at a certain location. Can somebody tell me what the name and location is for a MAC? I couldn't find the folder or the standard file as described by some posts anywhere on my MAC.

Best,
Yglandir

Certainly it exists. But it is hidden to protect inexperienced users.

Use Go > Go to Folder in Finder. Type

    ~/Library/Application Support

exactly as shown. There is a ~ at the front, and one space.

Now look for the Adobe/Acrobat etc. folders.

    You are right!

I saved the Logo named "SignatureLogo.pdf" in the folder, which I could find via the path

Use Go > Go to Folder in Finder. Type

    ~/Library/Application Support

exactly as shown. There is a ~ at the front, and one space.

Now look for the Adobe/Acrobat etc. folders.

and now when I tick the box Logo it appears as a watermark.

    Thank you very much all!

You can use any image you'd like in the signature itself, but you can't replace the Acrobat logo in the background. You can disable it, though. To do that go to Edit (or the Acrobat menu on a Mac) - Preferences - Signatures and click on More... next to Creation & Appearance. Then select an existing appearance or create a new one and click on Edit. In the middle section of the dialog window (marked in red below) you can change the image that appears at the left-hand side of the signature, and if you untick the "Logo" check-box (marked in green) it won't include the Acrobat logo in the background.

Thanks, but I already know, that I can disable it.

Older posts I found suggest that it was possible to change the logo. Is it not anymore? or not on mac? Furthermore, if I design my own signature with logo when I Import it via "import Graphic from" (as shown above) it will only go to the very left, when I tick some boxes in "Configure Text".

I am pretty sure there should be a way to bring your own logo in there...

EDIT: Here are links why I think it should work:

    https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/DigSigDC/appearances.html

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/change-watermark-in-a-signature/td-p/9242073?page=1

But these are incorrect for the current version or the links they suggest are expired.

This is exactly the link I posted above. Sadly the pathway they state for Macintosh does not exist

What version of Acrobat Pro, Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Reader do you run (and which one is it)? What operating system do you run? (Please do not say "latest" for any of these, we are looking for actual numbers; please say if you need help finding out).

Wow, I forgot to add the important information... thanks for asking!

The operating System is macOS Mojave 10.14.6

The software is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Version 2020.006.20034 (continous release)

    Do you need more information?
