Worked with an Adobe tech to understand text box manipulation.  He showed me how move boxes with the arrows keys.  Anyone know how to do this?

If by "text boxes" you mean text fields, go to Prepare Form mode, click the border of the field to select it and then press the arrows to move it around...

++ in addition to what is suggested above. @gtobey73

The text field added using the prepare form tool can be moved around by selecting it and using the arrow key.

But if you are referring to the Tex box for adding text. That cannot be moved with the arrow key; that can only be dragged and dropped.

Certainly! It seems like you're asking about how to manipulate text boxes using arrow keys in Adobe software. If you want to move text boxes using the arrow keys, here's a general guideline that should apply to various Adobe software like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop:

  1. Select the Text Box: Click on the text box you want to move. This should highlight the box and show handles around it, indicating that it's selected.

  2. Use Arrow Keys: With the text box selected, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the box. Press the Up Arrow key to move the box up, the Down Arrow key to move it down, the Left Arrow key to move it to the left, and the Right Arrow key to move it to the right.

  3. Fine Adjustment: To make precise adjustments, you can hold down the Shift key while using the arrow keys. This will usually move the text box in smaller increments, allowing you to position it exactly where you want.

  4. Nudging: If you need to nudge the text box by just a little bit, you can use the arrow keys without holding down the Shift key.

  5. Combining with Other Keys: In some cases, using arrow keys in combination with other keys might give you additional control. For example, in Adobe Illustrator, holding down the Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) key while using the arrow keys might perform a more specific type of movement.

Remember that the exact steps might vary slightly depending on the specific Adobe software version you're using, but the general concept of using arrow keys to move selected objects, including text boxes, should be consistent across most Adobe design tools. If you're using a different software or version, you might want to refer to the software's official documentation or help resources for more detailed instructions.

Of course! It looks like you've already received assistance on this matter, but I'll reiterate the steps for clarity:

To manipulate text boxes using arrow keys in Adobe software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Adobe Photoshop, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Text Box: Click on the text box you want to move. This will highlight the box and display handles around it, indicating it's selected.

  2. Arrow Key Movement: Once the text box is selected, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard for movement. Press the Up Arrow key to move the box upwards, the Down Arrow key to move it downwards, the Left Arrow key to move it to the left, and the Right Arrow key to move it to the right.

  3. Precise Adjustment: For more precise adjustments, hold down the Shift key while using the arrow keys. This will usually move the text box in smaller increments, allowing you to position it precisely.

  4. Nudging: If you need to make slight adjustments, use the arrow keys without holding down the Shift key.

  5. Combining with Modifier Keys: Depending on the software, you might find additional control by combining the arrow keys with other modifier keys like Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) to perform specific movements.

It's always a good idea to consult the official documentation or help resources of the specific Adobe software version you're using for any nuances or updates related to text box manipulation using arrow keys.
