Hello,

I need to move my Adobe Acrobat Pro X to a new computer.  I lost my original CD and box with serial.  What Can I do?

Thank you

Correct answer Amal.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Acrobat X is an old and EOL application and not supported on the latest Mac or Windows OS. To know more about the EOL please check the help page (https://adobe.ly/3D38AL1)

Hope this info will help.

for others:

you can check your account (if you purchased from or registered with adobe), https://accounts.adobe.com

or if you have your adobe programs installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer, (win:) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, (mac:)  https://mac-product-key-finder.com/

otherwise, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html

(p.s when using the adobe forums, please mark helpful/correct responses, if there are any.)

secure your serial number first.

download the installation file (link below)

start your installation and activate with your serial number.

if you see an excess activation count error, open acrobat on your old computer>click help>deactivate.  (you can then uninstall, too.)

restart the installation on your new computer.

Individual User Downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me keep with these links!

These were PERFECT instructions!  Transferring Acrobat X from my old computer to my new one was so easy!  Thank you.
