mp4 appears as black box in interactive PDF exported from InDesign

I have placed an MP4 in InDesign and exported as an interactive PDF. When previewing in SWF preview it all looks fine, but within Adobe Acrobat it appears as a black box. It was working earlier but now this is happening and no idea why. I have tried restarting, saving as new docs but to no avail. I am saving the video out from After Effects as H.264, I don't know if something is wrong that side of it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,

I have the same issue. A black box, a green line like a graph, and then nothing.
I checked for updates - everything is up-to-date (21.007.20099) Any other ideas?

Hi there,

It works on my OS but not my Windows 10. But just for your reference:

I use Acrobat Reader 2021.007.20099 on both OS and Windows10.

I've shared the Interactive PDF below.

Thanks!

I tried to open and play the MP4 on mu end Win 10 and its working fine. Please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/playing-video-audio-multimedia-formats.html and see if that helps.
