MS Word - Print to PDF - text turns to grey

Running Microsoft 365.  Have Adobe Cloud.

When I print to PDF from Microsoft Word, the resulting PDF file has all of the text greyed out -- very faint.  I've tried resaving the Word file, saving as and selecting PDF, directly printing to PDF, and using Microsoft's built in option of save to PDF.  All result in the same grey text.

It also looks like header fonts have not rendered correctly. I'm using Windows-based fonts -- Libre Franklin.  I've tried using other fonts.  Same results.  Ideas?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Using Print to PDF from Microsoft is a MS process of PDF creation and Adobe doesn't have a hold on it. Please try to create the PDF using 'Print to Adobe PDF' or Save as 'Adobe PDF' and check.

You may also try to create the PDF from the Acrobat Ribbon in the MS Word > Create PDF and check.

To know more about creating the PDFs please check the help page https://adobe.ly/40F7oGt

Let us know if you experience any trouble and need more help.

Regards
Amal
