Multiple pages for Ultrawide displays

New Here ,
May 07, 2020 May 07, 2020

Hello,

I would like to benefit from my ultrawide Samsung c49J89x (49 inches) to display multiple pages side to side (5, 6 or more).

Right now I have to process a pdf throuugh an n-up tool and then sett preview to 2 pages view to get the desired outcome (See screenshot)

Any better solution? Ideally I'd like to have an option to see not only 2 pages but n pages.

Thanks !

Hey lolobkk,

The only thing that I can think of is that, assuming that Default Layout and Zooming is not a pre-flight customized profile nor a setting that was saved in/with that PDF ,  there are two preferences settings that may work:

  • Go to Edit-->>Preferences -->> Page Display and see if the Page Layout and Zoom are set to "Automatic". If they are in automatic mode, adjust the Page Layout to Single-Page view and also adjust the Zoom to the desired page Fit(or zoom percentage).
  • You may also want to check "Documents" --->> "Open Settings and tick the  checkbox that says " Restore last view settings when reopening documents"
  • Then close Acrobat and load up the PDF again and see if this time it retains the desired page view settings

Otherwise since you're using a third party tool to convert multiple pages per PDF sheet you should also seek guidance from that software vendor or the online pdf resizer service directly.

I also forgot to add that you check with the Print Production Tool.

Open it and go to Preflights.

You can customize and test with different preflight profiles for the PDFs that you already resized with the N-up tool(s).

Hi !

Thanks for your message.

I was not able to find that option in Acrobat Reader DC.

There seems to be only 1 options for "side by side" which is 2 pages. Given how many ultrawide are sold it would be good to have a N pages to use all that ultrawide screen space.

Oh, ok in that case no, you won't have those editing options in Adobe Reader.

I am curious though if what you're asking is or could be customizable in Adobe Reader.
