Need help adding NIH PIV card to a DocuSigned PDF

I routed a PDF that was initially process via DocuSign to someone to add their digital signature via Adobe.

She stated when she clicks on the “Fill & Sign” tool, the “Sign” function is grayed out & can't select it.

When she clicks in the PDF, Adobe says its a fillable form. The PDF will not allow her to drag and drop her digital signature (NIH PIV card).

How can I resolve this issue so she can add her signature?
