Need help configuring a button

Sure:

1. If you haven't already done so, get your Prepare Form toolset

2. Get your Button tool (the rounded corner rectangle in the toolbar with the word OK in it. Create your button - I named mine "Submit"

3. Either Click on the All Properties hyperlink if the yellow Field Name: box is still up. If not, just double-click on the button itself while you're in the Prepare Form toolset. Either process will open the Button Properties dialog box. You can do a lot of things to format how your button looks and what your button does, but let's focus on mailing you a form. Select the Actions tab, then choose Mouse Up in the Select Trigger: options box. This tells Acrobat to configure a specific action when you click on your button. In your Select Action: options box, select Submit a form. Then click the Add... button. When you see the action listed below, click on the Submit a form text nested under the Mouse Up action.

4. This opens the Submit Form Selections dialog box. Here you can submit what Field Selection data will be submitted, and what Export Format that data will be submitted to you. You can always edit this later, so for initial testing I always choose the PDF  The complete document radio button for testing. I can always fine tune the button to submit exactly what I want later. Importantly, You can also direct where it will be sent in the Enter a URL for this link: edit box. To email it to you, use the prefix mailto: followed by your email address, as shown below:

5. Quality check your work. Get out of your Prepare Form toolset. Now click on the button, and ensure that it will, in fact, send the form data you want, in the format you want, to your email address. This can always be edited to refine processes using your Prepare Form toolset, so all I want to see for testing is if it will send the total PDF to me at my chosen email address. 

If you follow the process above, you should be able to easily set up your form to submit information to your email address.

ProTip: when it comes time for the form to go live, have it send responses to a unique email address so you're not having to fish a bunch of emailed forms out of your regular email account.
