Need Mac Acrobat default save loc. to EITHER be specific location, or LAST LOCATION USED IN ACROBAT

Let me stop you before you respond—no, this isn't Acrobat's default behavior on the Mac version.

The Mac version defaults the save location to the LAST SAVE LOCATION USED BY *ANY* APPLICATION, OR BY THE MACOS ITSELF.

This is not helpful or useful as a default, so I want to change it to something helpful/useful.

Is this possible?

I simply need it to default to one single location, the same location, never a different location, every time, as in, 100.000% of the times that I select the SAVE AS command, or select the SAVE command for a document that has not been saved.  Ideally it would be a specific location that I am allowed to specify, but at the end of the day I just need it to NEVER CHANGE UNLESS I TELL IT TO.

I use a little plugin called Default folder that has this function. It's awesome and very affordable.

I had seen your question and was just about to let you know about Default Folder.

It solves SO MANY PROBLEMS on the Mac that it's hard to describe how helpful it is.

It's not just Acrobat that has these issues, all applications have these issues. Just check it out, please.

And if that's not possible—is it possible to reduce the number of steps required to manually specify a save location every single time I save a document?  This should be one step, tops—not 2 or 3 steps (or more).

Thank you.  I assume the existence of the plugin answers my question as to whether this result can be achieved with the basic application.

Cheers!
