Hi, i'm having trouble with how Acrobat displays colors.
When looking at the file from inDesign (or illustrator too), colors appear as they should. But in Acrobat they appear significally more saturated. I already had this problem last year and solved it by disabling new Acrobat. But after updating to the last version it now happens on both old and new Acrobat.
I thought it was because Acrobat wasn't "applying"(?) the file's color profile (Fogra39) but I checked and it happens with RGB (sRGB profile) files too.
I have checked multiple times the color management settings on both programs and everything is as it should.
It isn't really much of a problem as the file's color is still correct, Acrobat's color checker matches the values on inDesign. As a curiosity, the color acrobat shows is the same that inDesign or illustrator's color picker shows too. No idea if it has any relation.

We had this issue as well. We disabled protected mode and that seems to correct this for us.

Hi @bhawnaarora ,
I am having a similar problem; the colour shown by InDesign is different from the exported PDF when viewed in Acrobat. I used Bridge to ensure the color space of the programs was synced, but the problem persists. Interestingly, the PDF shows the correct colour (same as Indesign) when opened in browser.

THANK YOU
I have no idea how that would cause the issue, but everything shows up fine now. I did have to disable both "Protected Mode at Start" and "Enhanced Security", or something similar sounding, I don't have my programs set up in english.
For anyone with the same issue: go to Preferences > Security (Enhanced) and disable those two options.

Adding on that I am also having similar issues with Acrobat Pro. Despite confirmed color synchronization in Bridge, the colors of any and all files opened through Adobe Acrobat Pro appear diluted, as if they were exported in CMYK. The same files, which are in sRGB mode, can be opened in other applications with a proper display of colors. In the attached screenshot, a slice from the same file is shown opened side-by-side in Photoshop (left side, vivid and correct colors) and in Acrobat Pro (right side, dull and faded colors).
Acrobat color settings are: sRGB and SWOP2
Replace Document Colors is unchecked
Protected Mode is disabled
Curiously, I can also open the same files in the lighterweight Adobe Reader application and see the colors as intended. All of this leads me to believe it is a display-related issue within the current version of Adobe Acrobat Pro (2024.004.20272), not a color syncing or export-setting related issue.
Hopefully someone finds a solution or workaround and can share that information here, as I work regularly in CMYK and RGB rely on Acrobat to review both digital and print files frequently.

I tried everything in this thread, but this seems to be what fixed it for me.
Preferences > Page Display > Use Overprint Preview dropdown, set to Never

Despite all of the recommendations above, I am still having this same issue. I need to share layouts with many other people so the lack of accurate color is a big problem.
