A couple of weeks ago I opened a pdf and found that there is a new layout to my Adobe Acrobat DC. It appears to be very much the excat same program, but now all of the Tools are on the left, rather than the right, as well as a few other minor changes to the appearance. What I can't figure out is if there has been any added benefits. Hard to imagine it would be an update that only forces you to relearn where all of the Tools are, but doesn't offer an added benefit with the change.
And if there is no benefit, is there a way to revert back to the older layout?
Hi All!
I hope you all are doing well.
We acknowledge that the new Acrobat represents a notable change; however, we hope that as you get familiar with the new interface, you can be more productive & get more out of Acrobat.
As we made these changes in the interface, we have tried to ensure all tools & features currently supported retain their familiar functionalities and workflows as they did in the previous version. We are committed to addressing any gaps or issues users report related

I agree these changes are total unhelpful. I swear if MS and Adobe dont stop helping me be productive I'll cry.

I'm sorry, but this new layout is a very bad idea which obviously didn't go through a thorough UX process. I'm a Mac user and it's annoying editing on Acobat Pro Dc now. all tools keep hidden. You need to do more clicks to get a tool. First, you need to click on the tool category and then click on the tool that you need to use. I wish I could revert to the old version. Sadly I can't find a way. If anyone knows how to do so on Mac please let me know.

As a 30 year user of adobe products, I can't understand why they did ask the millions of end users what we thought of the major change in their product. Don't they build the products for their cutomers? It's not a matter of learing a new product, it's learning an old product revamped for the functions of the developers. I am all for making things better and have made many adjustments and learn many new softwares over the years, but this one takes the cake. You are taking our brain on a rollercoaster ride during our work days and nights! Did you think about this? Working people don't have the luxury of taking the time to relearn an old product, should have introduced a new product and kept the DC product alone. That's just my opinion. I have already figured out most of my daily functions in DC, but I am not happy with the set up at all. Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.

My comments were just that, just comments. I will continue to use the new format, but it's a brain buster when you are working in the program all day and you have to remember everything has been moved to the opposite side of the page. A little research with the end users, could have saved some heartache. Thanks for the the information provided.

Maybe someone can help me. I contacted Adobe and found a way to use to old format for editing pdfs. However, the option that all other programs have, and the old pdf had, was to use the column at the right of the page (look at this one now) and quickly move higher or lower on the page. This does not appear in Adobe Acrobat, so I have to place my cursor on a line and use the keyboard arrows to move up and down the page. It's a real hassle. Is there any way to get that feature to work again
