No dictionaries were found. Your installation might be corrupted [2017]

I have recently purchased Acrobat Pro DC for Mac. Surprisingly, no spelling is available and when I go to Preferences → Spelling, I end up with the following message "No dictionaries were found. Your installation might be corrupted". I am baffled that Adobe would release a product with this kind of bug and meaningless error message. Equally baffling is the apparent impossibility to download dictionaries, when this is possible and trivial to do for Reader DC. Could anyone who has encountered the same problem suggest a possible workaround? Ideally, I would like to avoid having to reinstall the whole program. Thanks.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and it do not cure the problem. Then I uninstalled, used the Adobe cleaner tool, and reistalled, and it did not cure the problem.

This hasn't affected my ability to use the program; its simple an annoying message with no solution.
