Hi,
afer updating to Sonoma I'm not able to print in Acrobat. The Adobe Distiller is opening automatically and then the following error occurs:
A PDF file cannot be created from the following file:
/var/folders/wl/rf9rt6y96jd46gqsn6h12zbw0000gn/T/PSbmDDom.tmp
For details on how to use the Adobe PDF settings: Standardqualität
see the log file
Does someone know a hint how to solve the problem? Printing with adobe reader ist possible.

The latest Adobe Acrobat version (23.06.20360) released addresses this issue. As you have Acrobat 2017, it might not work with the newest version. You may try installing the latest version of Acrobat Reader and check if that helps.
As it is an optional version, please update the application to the newest version using the following steps:
- In Acrobat, go to Menu > Help
- Select "Check for Updates."
For more information about the new release, refer to the following link: Adobe Acrobat Release Notes.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hope this helps everyone. I am running Sonoma with latest OS 14.2.1 and deleted the current version of Acrobat on my MacBook M2 Max. I removed it and into the trash. Reinstalled the latest Acrobat Reader and I noticed the interface had changed, and using Google Chrome it printed flawlessly. Printed from the print icon in the program. Previously with the previous version I had spent all moring updating drivers, firmware, trying different browsers, and even updating Sonoma from 14 to 14.2.1. I thought it was an M2 compatibility issue but it appears just getting rid of the earlier version of Acrobat Reader did the trick.

See This article: https://eclecticlight.co/2023/09/25/postscripts-sudden-death-in-sonoma/
Acrobat cannot print a Postscript file to a non-postscript printer, and Sonoma does not recognize my Xerox printer as being a Postscript printer (which it is). I installed the Generic Postscript Printer driver instead of the Xerox driver, and now everything is working. This may be a fix for yuou if you own a postscript printer.
If you don't have a Postscript printer the only two choices you seem to have are:
I'm sure Apple and/or Adobe will fix the problem soon. (sarcasm)

There's no support for beta versions. Wait for the full release, and then report any issues you encounter.

You do not need to upgrade immediately after the release. It is indeed good practice to first wait for the confirmation that the software will run on that platform.

The TEch firm that services our Company machines updated my Mac to Sonoma...Now I have the same issue with printing PDFs as everyone else apparently. I exported PDF files to Word and that worked OK. I
will try the Print Preview hack and use that until the next bug fix. SO Annoying!

PS. Even if it doesn't work on the first day of release it doesn't mean much. You usually need to wait for the first update after that release for complete compatibility with a brand new OS version. If you insist on being an early adopter you need to accept the risks involved with that.

It is now Sept 28th and I have downloaded the full version (NOT BETA) of Sonoma which was released two days ago. I am unable to print documents first receiving a pop up message that says, "The document could not be printed". Clicking 'OK' on that dialogue box then results in another pop up box that says,
"There were no pages selected to print."
I have selected "all" pages to print so that can't be the issue.
Can anyone please advise how to correct this. Seems to be an Adobe issue with Sonoma compatibility.

Wait for Adobe to solve it... There's really not much we can do.

I found a workaround : first safe the PDF in a file than open it in preview en print the document

Thank you thank you! Gawd, the things I've tried to make Adobe print.....actually thought it was my old HP Series 5255 all-in-one printer which opened up another whole can of issues like, is the driver updated, ink is low, unplug, on/off, etc and THAT didn't fix (I did replace ink) the issue. Nothing wrong until Sonoma, printing from 2022 Macbook Air or directly from iPhone 14 Pro.
