OCR'g pdf

I tried OCR'g a document that had no graphics on it but did have a signature and got an error message saying because there was graphics the page could not be OCR'd Any way around this?

I've never had problems OCR'ing docs that are a mix of text and graphics, but occasionally do have issues with OCR'ing for other reasons.  The old standby response is, if you've tried fiddling with your settings without success, turn the doc into a TIFF and back into a PDF, then OCR.  It's a pain, but works almost every time.

Hi Jane,

Sorry for the late response.

This may happen if the document is created using third party application. Also, you may use the preflight tool and there are some inbuilt options to correct issues related to a document. 

Since i don't have that document handy it is very hard to tell.
