the Adobe program does not open the .pdf file for me, but it opens in the Home "view".

and when i double click on pdf attachment, the adobe program opens in home view (as below image):

Hi @Francesco29997589y43p

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.

If your Acrobat/Reader is set as a default app to open the .pdf file on your computer, then Outlook attachments should be opened within Acrobat or Reader.

Please double-check if your application is set up correctly as your default .pdf opener.

  • Go to Acrobat> Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once (you must save all the work before restarting)

To download the patch manually, more information about this release is here: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

  • Also, check the MS Outlook update if anything is pending.
  • What if when you download the same attachment and then open it with Acrobat Reader? Does it open well?

When nothing works, you cannot open the attachment in Acrobat Reader. Then try this

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat Reader installer from here:

https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Thanks,

Akanchha
