Outlook: Convert & Append to Adobe PDF

Community Beginner ,
Sep 12, 2023 Sep 12, 2023

I have been using Acrobat to file emails from Outlook for years. With the recent "update", the view of these emails has changed and I cannot fathom how to return to the old view.

Previously, I would "Convert" the first email in the thread to PDF and then "Append" further emails in the same thread and I would see them in a split screen in Acrobat - email title, date, from whom, etc in the top of the window and a preview of the email in the bottom half.

Now, I have to double click from the open page (to which I cannot return to without closing the document and reopening it) before viewing individual emails in full.

Hi @Whizzing Bill

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

We acknowledge that the new Acrobat represents a notable change; however, we hope that as you get familiar with the new interface, you can be more productive and get more out of Acrobat.

We are actively working on all the currently unavailable features, such as split screen in Acrobat - email title, date, from whom, etc. in the top of the window and a preview of the email in the bottom half. We will address them with the highest priority.

As you get more comfortable with the new interface, please contact us with specific questions on tools, features, or functionalities. We’re happy to provide helpful resources and answers to your questions.

If your critical workflows are impacted, you can switch to the old UI from the “Menu” on the top left corner of Windows and View Menu on MacOS.

Please check the community-featured post https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/learn-about-new-acrobat/td-p/14078856 , guiding you to familiarise yourself with the new interface and see if that helps.

Regards

Amal

Hello Amal

Thank you for your response.

It is a shame that the new UI was rolled out before all features were ready.

Unfortunately, I cannot fathom where to go after "Menu" to switch to the old UI.

Could you supply some more guidance on that front please?

Thank you, Amal

Is there any capacity to make me aware of when this feature will work in "New" Acrobat please?
