Hi @JIPNET

Sorry for the delayed response.

Page numbers are only available as a menu item. Please check the screenshot attached.

More information about the workspace can be found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/workspace-basics.html

I actually meant changing page labels. But i've since found that toolbar item (under Organize Pages). Thanks.

Hi @JIPNET

  • Please ensure you have enabled Acrobat Preferences “Use single-key accelerators to access tools” under General. To go to Preference > Launch Acrobat > "Cmd + K"  or "Ctrl + K" > General. Then you can follow the steps below to select the highlight tool after enabling the said preference:
    • Press the ‘U’ key, and it selects the Underline tool.
    • Then press ‘Shift+U’ two times to select the Highlight tool. You can cycle through Underline, Strikethrough, and Highlight tools.
    • From now on, pressing ‘U’ selects the Highlight tool in this Acrobat session, as the current selection in the above step is Highlight.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Interesting. Not very intuitive but I will try it. Is there a way to make the selection (Highlight tool) stick rather than having to reset it with each new use?

Unfortunately, this key command workaround has to be reinitiated each time you quite Acrobat and restart it.

@JIPNET Thanks for letting us know how it worked.
Would you elaborate a bit about this? Do you mean the preference or the keyboard shortcut? And what do you mean by reinitiated?

Yes, that is what I meant. Each time you restart the app. But it seems more
restrictive: each time you open a new document you need to re-pin the
highlight tool.

(pinning is the same as what you suggested, I think).

Are there no plans to create a key command for highlight?
