Page Numbers in Thumbnails

I have 4 sections which are separately numbered (eg. I:235, II: 76, etc.) and I can search in the number box on the toolbar using those numbers. However, my thumbnails do not use my numbers, but instead use Adobe's numbers 1-2037. Is there any way to get the thumbnails to use my numbers instead of Adobe's?
