Up against the wall with time. I have a 250pp document with the 1st 2 pp 8X11, and the rest properly sized at

6X9. Need to reduce 8X11 to 6X9. Can someone point me in a direction please? I've checked all the icons

to the best of my ability, but no clues. Thanks.

Just print the first pages in question with the Adobe PDF printer into a new PDF. Then combine the newly created PDF with the existing one. Finally open the thumbnails view on the left side, move the newly added pages to the place you need them and delete the unwanted pages.

Good morninn~

Thanks for your response, whiich looks as though it may work. In the meantime, I am dealing with a multitude of problems. I'll list the ones you may be ableto help with, followed by ones you can visualize and maybe laugh.

~While I was waiting for something smply intelligent like your response there was a fluury of responses from KDP help-center, most, unfortunately, counter to each other, but I followed all to the letter of direction and ended up with SOME of the chapters startinhg on the right (correct) page, and some obstinately, on the left (incorrect) page. Las Vegas oddsmakers wudn't touch that.

~We just moved out of state and tonight got internet service. Next week I'll find a clear spot to work. Thanks very much. I'll let you know.

Thanks for your patience. We moved from VA to OH . and She Who Must Be Obeyed determines priorities. The original problem was with a manuscript submitted to KDP/Amazon in which the first 2 pages were 8X11, the other 237 were 6X9. That cleared up my problem (thank you) and I blithely ordered 10 author copies  ($97)which I noted with horror featured all chapters starting on the LEFT (incorrect) side.of the book. For well into a month I have followed every suggestion given by the help center. Some countermanded each other but I did 'em anyway. I have uploaded a PDF manuscript with NOTHING needing changing; I have uploaded a Word doc. manuscript needing NO changes. In each case the preview shows chapters starting on the left, regardless of the upload showing them on the right. The straw that snapped my back today was when they called twice and hung up before I could finish "hello" and when I set up the whole procedure again the computer told me my phone number was invalid.. If you can help me with the chapters, I'll deal with the phones. Thanks~gm

You can also use a preflight profile to re-size pages:

Your PDF page order should be front cover, inside FC, page 1, page 2, etc, you can add blank pages if needed to insure chapters start on the right. Another option is to place the 8 X 11 pages into InDesign pages at the desired size and export to a new PDF.

Thanks very much. That part was resolved. I finally had to get a supervisor
involved to go over the entire communication to tell me what he thought
would work, and it did...but there are at least as many blank pages as when
it was rejected earlier, so I need to wait and see if it's approved or not.
At least I have a name I can attach to a good answer! Thanks for your input~
