Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is freeware. Password Protect option is available with the paid product Adobe Acrobat DC. It is not accessible with the Adobe Reader DC.

I have paid product

adobe DC not reader freeware. Password protect not working.

What exactly happens when you try to use it? Does it happen with all files, even ones you create yourself?
