PDF colors are off (duller) when printing compared to other users

When printing a PDF the color is off.

It appears a completely different shade, much duller than when someone else prints.

We haven't done any customization to the settings. Tried "print as image" in advanced, but that doesn't help.

When colours change against other dudes that are printing the same PDF, I would look into the printers colour settings (colour management).

Are you talking about color management in Acrobat, or in the printer's own settings?

There are no settings in Acrobat that change the colour appearance for viewing or printing. But a PDF file may have a profile attached and that profile gets interpreted during viewing (in relation with the screen's colour management) and printing (in relation with the printer's colour management). To get "correct" colours, it is clear that your PDF file needs to have a correct profile attached. But with the same PDF on 2 machines, the only variable are settings with the printer.

If you have there different settings, the colour will be rendered differently:

Each time the output may differ depending on the conditions. It is probable that they differ even!

Save ink/toner could also have an effect!

...and finally the settings in your printer driver may have an effect:

So there are many sources to get it wrong...
