Question

PDF Fillable is now viewing with overlapping text

I have converted an existing PDF document to allow for onboarding employees to be able to fill and return.  When I view the document it is fine. When I split it to separate the document to the individual files, the text overlaps.  We use a specific font that is not normally used. I have seen other posts where the word doc needs to have the Font embedded, but what if the document is already PDF?  It only overlaps when I separate the individual documents to add my signature.  I have attached a snip of the issue.

@dawn_7807 it's a font embedding issue that's making it worse by the PDF splitting process! If the font isn't embedded, the PDF viewer will substitute it with a similar font, which can lead to layout issues like overlapping text (I know, but if the original PDF appears fine, that might not have the font fully embedded either!)

As. work-around, try saving the PDF as an Optimized PDF. Go to Save As Other > Optimized PDF
