PDF form created in Indesign that won't let me type in the text field.

I have a form I created in Indesign that when I export as a interactive PDF the text fields only allow certain characters to be typed into text fields. ex. Capital S,W,R work but nothing lower case. I am to the point where I think this is a bug. I have it narrowed down to a certain combo box that is causing the problem but I don't know exactly why it's happening. Any help would be appreciated. I can also provide the indesign file and or pdf.

It's due to some sort of font issue with the Times Roman font. When I change the field fonts to Helvetica, it works fine. The Times Roman font got included in the document twice, once as an embedded subset somehow.

Can you post a sample somewhere so we can take a look at it? Regarding creating the fields in Acrobat, there are a number of bugs related to fields that are created when exporting to interactive PDF from InDesign.

Form fields should be added using Acrobat.

why is that? The feature to add for fields is in Indesign.
