Pdf form filled out with Mac application Preview text not showing when document is printed: (Solved)

I would use the Mac application "Preview" to fill in and add my signatre to a .pdf form and I would print the document from my systemev... erything would be fine.

On occasion, I filled in a document, but then send it to a friend to print or take it to a print store and the form would show, but the text I filled in would not show when printed.

I never noticed the "comments & forms" section to the bottom left.

In this section, if you select "Documents and Markups" and it will print the text you used to markup the .pdf.

I am sure there must be another way to validate the text used to fill in the form so that it is not seen as comments or markup, but that is for another thread.

I hope this quick solution helps someone.

The easiest way to prevent a user opening a PDF with Preview or other low-end software is to place it in a PDF Portfolio.

The correct solution is: avoid Preview, use Acobat.

Apple Preview is a defective application that corrupts PDF files (and especially form fields) just by opening them.

You should avoid using it, if at all possible.
