Hi Jerry,
I think that I found a solution for your problem:
1/ download the SetUserFTA from this page bottom:
2/ Create a new directory in your system:
C:\SetUserFTA
or you can create "C:\MoronicProgrammersFromMicrosoft" if it satisfies you more 🙂 or it is possible to use
the "C:\SatiaNadellaIsBaldHeadedAndUncapableOverpaidManagerWithSmallPenisAndWithoutTesticles".
3/ Extract all files from down

Hi Jerry
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, MS Edge is Hijacking the PDF ownership in Win 10
It is a known issue from Microsoft. Please check out the suggestions made in the correct answer marked in the similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/microsoft-edge-keeps-hijacking-my-pdfs/m-p/10754576
Also, you may check out the similar discussion i have found on Microsoft support page here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/microsoft-edge-keeps-hijacking-my-pdfs/m-p/10754576 and see if that helps.

Hi Ama-Adobe-Girl,
I tried all these things and no one is working. 😞 😞 😞 😞
After Windows 10 restart, the PDF is associated/assigned to MS Edge.
I also tried to uninstall the Edge but without any effect.
It is terrible.

3/ Extract all files from downloaded SetUserFTA.zip into the directory C:\SetUserFTA
4/ Run gpedit.msc from the "Find" icon which is placed left bottom of the Windows windows and the "Local Group Policy Editor" is opened.
5/ On the left side just find the item "User Configuration / Windows Configuration" and the sub-item "Scripts" and on the right side the item LogON. Add new item on TabPage named "Scripts" named:
C:\SetUserFTA\SetUserFTA.exe
and working parameters must be
.pdf AcroExch.Document.DC
And click to OK.And thats all folks. Happy day.
