Hi. I have suddenly lost the PDF icon/thumnails while in list view on a Mac. If I look at icon view I can see the preview, or if I expand the size of the icon in list view I can see the thumnail. But I don't want these view options. I have ticked the "Show Preview" in the view options. Please assist.

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20421 Optional update, Feb 24, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/41iEoU7.
Navigate to the Apps' Preferences from Acrobat > Preferences > General > Select Enable PDF thumbnail previews. Click OK, restart the app and the machine and check.

Thank you for the reply. I do have the latest version of Adobe on my Mac. I also have the Enable PDF thumbnail previews checked. The thumbnails appear when the icon is set to large, but when the icon is set to small they disappear.

I hope you are doing well, and I apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
Are you still experiencing the issue with the latest build of 25.001.20630, Planned update, Aug 18, 2025? Check for any pending updates from the Menu > Help> Check for Updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.
If the issue continues, do a clean installation using the Acrobat Cleaner tool, run the cleaner tool, reboot the machine, and ensure all the mandatory and optional updates of the OS are installed. Download the Acrobat from the direct download link.
For testing purposes, create a test user profile with full admin rights, and install Acrobat, and check the PDF thumbnails.

Thank you for sharing the details. Please share a sample PDF file, a quick screen recording of the issue, the current version of the operating system, and the logs from the affected machine. To collect the logs, download and run the Log Collector tool. Make sure to select all log options and attempt to reproduce the issue. After that, close the Log Collector tool; it will generate the logs along with a log ID. Please share this log ID with us for further investigation.
