PDF looks good on screen missing words when printing.

If it is urgent try print as image in Advanced settings.

It could be a font conflict. Check that your fonts are embedded. If it is a standard font it may be a font substitution with a version built in on your printer. But as Dov says the question is a little generic. (like "why is my food not tasting good?") If you can show a sample of your problem (with information about the font used) and a photo of how it looks on print. If you also know about how the PDF was created, if it follows a standard (E.g PDFx1a ) and finally confirm that you are printing from Acrobat and not Preview or some other PDF reader.

We need more information than just a short description that you gave, possibly even your posting a sample for us to download and examine.

The only possibility that immediately comes to mind is that the missing text for printing are actually annotations. In the print menu, unless you specify that you also want the annotations printed, they don't print. Only the base document prints.
